OMG! They both are beautiful, especially seen together! I really don't know which one I like better, maybe the day one? But together they are a bomb! Did you paint the day version with the negative technique as well or just simply with layering? I love the colour palette there... Your night sky is so dreamy and well done! Great job with the day sky as well, lovely clouds and birds :) I also love the purple colours, they are really relaxing. So yeah, I love all ;))) thank you and see you around!

Thank you so much for the kind and generous comments! I really enjoyed the project, and look forward to doing more like this. I tried to do the day one as negative painting, but it ended up being layered. I’ve done lots of negative painting before, so I’m not sure what happened. I used the same 5 colors in both scenes, but if I did it over I would not choose granulating paints again. Next time I’ll use regular pigments. I also struggle with the dip pen and the Pen White! I can never get it to flow properly, even when thinned. I also feel like I have to press too hard on the paper. I did best with a tiny brush or a Gelly Roll. These are tiny paintings—about 4” by 4”—so that was an extra challenge!

I love your classes! I did the negative painting night version first in my journal, then did a complementary daytime version on the facing page. I like the night version better, but both were fun to do. Thank you for another excellent&nbsp;&nbsp;SkillShare class!
