Thank you for your comment! I loved using the mind map - have never done that before, and it was very helpful...I was not going to use the black pen, as you did not, but it looked very unfinished without it. So I stepped away a little from trying to make it look just like yours, and added the pen. However, I love the softness of your illustration, so I am definitely going to try doing without on another project.

I think trusting your instincts is very important when it comes to artwork. I'm very glad that you made it your own! It is also great to read that the mind map was a helpful discovery. Cheers :)
