The original sketch - must admit this was the part of the process that I enjoyed the most!

 

 

This is the finished version of my New Zealand fantail bird after doing the digital work. I haven't had too much practice at digital painting, so I am sure there is plenty of room for improvement! 

 

I have updated this project to add my second attempt at using this technique, above is the native NZ bird called a Tui! I think I'm getting better...be interested to hear your thoughts!
