NYTimes Interface Inventory

NYTimes Interface Inventory - student project

As an exercise in better understanding the components of a design system, I’m choosing to conduct an interface inventory exercise on my go-to news source: The New York Times.

To kick off the exercise, I went over to CSS Stats to get a feel for the elements that make up the NYTimes homepage.

As you can see, the NYTimes homepage doesn’t have quite as many rules and declarations as Facebook (Brad's example), but there is still a lot going on.

Next, I'll start screenshotting page elements and organizing them into a PowerPoint presentation. Stay tuned!
