My second color study
I really regret I didn't start these classes 2 months ago when I had all the time to dive deep and study like I love, without shortcuts.
Beside learning the major rules of temperature, purity and value this class brought me to my first preference of a color hue and made me very curious to know more about it.
Alizarin Crimson is the color and it's considered Cool Red. I am still waiting for my additional paints to come and meanwhile I tried to replace it with similar color from White Nights with name English Red. For my untrained eye they look the same but they are not. English Red is for sure Warm Red. Instead of giving me the beautiful purples I loved so much in Carol S' project, it gave me the same level of beauty but in juicy Brown.
I'd like to experiment to have the purples coming from Alizarin once I get it next to the browns coming from its similitude in one double colorwheel.
I think they will look gorgeous!
here is my triple test made like before with 3 different paints.
on the first photo on the left are my WY-CB-WR and on the right are
CY-WB-CR. The one with brown instead of purple is the red- imposter. But I love it.
As usually my deepest gratitude to Chris for opening the door for me to world I could study forever.
