You'll know I'm new at this because this took me all day to complete. I'd never seen this type of contemporary embroidery before, but once I saw it, I had to try it.  I love all the possible projects that can be created.  I have a long way to go to get my stitches and style where I want them to be, but I'm proud of how this first project turned out.  

 

I also decided to change the hairstyle from that of the template.  As a curly haired woman, I wanted to try using French Knots to recreate the look.
