Calligraphy Essentials: From First Script to Final Flourish

Thank you very much for your feedback !  Yesterday, I tried to write with the paper 45°. It's easier to avoid stains. But my lines was very... mmmm... twisted and crooked xD. I need to practice a lot with this angle.  You're perfectly right. The "U" is my "pet peeve" ! The spaces aren't regular too. And my letters are "compressed".  I'm trying a calligram with my initials with copic wide to experiment differents angles. And I still practice pen with my nickname.

Hi E-Maniak,  I think you're off to a very good start. I like the quirky, inventiveness of the first option and the more restrained approach in the second option. Keep practicing, look very closely at my exemplar to identify inconsistencies, but keep at it. Look at the differences in your settings between the u and n and try and get them more even. they're more or less the same character, but flipped. That is a very unorthodox approach writing upside down. :-) There may be advantages to experimenting with writing with the paper 45 degrees clockwise instead, but I don't want to be too prescriptive. Whatever works for you. I have seen very good left handed calligrapher writing with the paper at 90 degrees, so they write down the desk, but not this before.

I had not done calligraphy for a long time. This is not perfect anymore, but, with&nbsp;everyday practice, I'm going to "level up" ;)
I'm a lefty. I'm holding the&nbsp;paper upside down and I'm drawing&nbsp;the lines going up.&nbsp;
