Tonal Value Studies: Two Fun Value Exercises for Stronger Paintings

Hi Kurei! Really good job on the value simplification! When you squeeze your eyes or look from further away, you can see that you captured the three different values really well. What you could do additionally, is adding the little shadow from the cliff in the center of the image, that way you would leave a smaller strip of light right above the dark shadow, which frames the image at the bottom, and also better bind the other mountains or cliffs in the image together visually.  Since you used four values, you could also use the lightest gray to mark the light side of the cliffs, if you want, to further define the form. That being said, it's all critiquing on a very high level - you did a wonderful job on the values and the shapes! Just finished the course, did the best i could i am working towards working in splash art goals later. did i group my values effectivaly and simplify my shapes well? would appreciate the help
