My favorite pastry, contest entry

I got my art supplies ready. Before starting this project I had never before drawn pastries or any food for that matter, so this was very new and fun :) I have also never attempted something quite as realistic as this. It was very interesting but also straining to get all the tiny details in the texture of the scone and the lighting in the marmelade right. Also shading white in a halfway convincing way was hard. It took me a while, but I'm glad it turned out so well in the end... :) Dear Kendyll,
the subscribtion would mean the world to me because I am trying to train myself as an artist. I can not afford to subscribe to Skillshare (I have no source of income). I am currently using my 2 month free trial and am loving it. Being able to use the site regularly for a whole year would be a dream and be immensly helpful in my quest for education. I have been bound mostly to my bed and desk for the past six years due to disease and will not be able to finish my education the regular way. I am however determined not to let illness destroy my life, so I have entered this path of educating and training with books and free recources on the internet. Skillshare seems to me like a God send!
I wouldn't have told you this if you hadn't asked for the reason why we would enjoy the prize in your latest post. I do not like to be a downer or ask for pity. This is however my life now and the impact my illnes has is to big to hide it. I hope you don't mind my honesty...
Thank you, for sharing your knowledge online, here and on Youtube. And for giving us the chance to win this awesome prize!
All the best
Fiona
