I found an image of this beautiful bird that I wanted to paint.

 

Then I got my favorite Viviva Colors paint set, plus the rest of my supplies. I chose blue and orange as my project colors.

 

I sketched my subject matter and thought about how I want to highlight it.

 

I decided to outline my bird sketch to make it pop.

 

I took my time to choose to highlight the shape of the bird here and there, as well as highlighting the wing in my second color. I also completely filled in the beak and the eye to give my bird some personality. It was really inspiring to paint with constraints and get a different outcome than I normally do!
