Poster Redesign Challenge - not great but not horrific either?

Notes: 1 font used in various sizes and varying text styles. 2 Colours used from colour palette generating tool, purple & orange. Changed 3 images to 1 stylised image and changed the picture to something with my generated colour palette. Added social media site links; maybe move this to bottom of the page?

A second attempt after reading through Greg's excellent comments. Hopefully, the poster has improved, and so have my own skills!

Next up, sharing our own Canva Designs; this is a design that I have a template for and use as a banner for a work blog. This particular copy is for a film review of Blade Runner, directed by Ridley Scott.

For creating a video, I just used this template quickly for an example of something we might make. At present, we use Adobe Spark to make most of our videos or outsource them to our marketing department. Still, depending on the features Canva brings to the videos, this could be a powerful tool for our department.

For the last Class Project of trying different photo editing techniques in Canva, I pulled this together. As I followed the steps Greg showed in his videos, I thought how good it would be as a phone background. As such, I've got a little more elaborate as I typically keep my phone set up fairly simple (and I like the contrast of more going on in the background).

I've removed the shadow from the image on the polaroid but kept it in for over the background and the polaroid background. I also added an element to the polaroid background and lowered the transparency to give it some texture, and set it apart from the image on top. With the shadows, I trialled the techniques Greg showcased for the polaroid and the girl's image but used another layer and darker colouring for the text itself.
