Poppies are not really easy flowers for me to paint especially their petals. I used 3 primary colours with some complimentary colours to mute them, plus some greens and white. I also used some photos of poppies in these 3 primary colours for my inspiration. 
Thank you for your step by step guidance for me to give it a go. Still a lot to improve but always good to enjoy the process and always good to learn :)
