My Flyer Design for Azzie Drauch

I wanted to make a flyer to support my friend's Kickstarter campaign for her book that she wrote.

1. CTA and WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHEN, HOW

Who is the flyer for?

- Potential readers and people who love mythology and romance

What are you promoting?

- Azzie's kickstarter, as well as her book itself. Preorders are going on right now until Jan. 3rd, 2025.

Where are these flyers going?

- We plan on asking to hang them up in local bookstores, libraries, and various businesses in the area, we've already contacted a few for permission.

When do you need the flyers?

- ASAP, but I wanted to go through this course and take some time to really make the flyer look good and stand out so that it's more effective.

How are you making your flyer?

- I don't have InDesign, so I used Canva. I was going to incorporate Krita into the process, but Azzie had already made some art for the book that I ended up incorporating, as well as some assets from Canva that were free to use.

Call to action: In short, Support a local up and coming author by checking out and sharing our kickstarter!

- I've added a LinkTree link at the bottom of the flyer, with information about preorders and the Kickstarter deadline.

 2. Rough Draft Designs for Layout

3. Choosing How and Where you'll print

- We chose to have me print it at home using colored cardstock (to make it stand out a bit more) and my HP Smart Tank printer, that I use for Art prints and other stuff for myself.

4. Final Design

- Of course it will be printed with a white file background, and then basically tinted purple due to the paper we're printing on. But I wanted to get a feel for the final print.

5. Printed Flyer

- I also printed in B&W. I wanted to save on ink, and I think it turned out nice. My friends really liked it, and more importantly, the author Azzie.
