This is my first handmade pocket journal.

I used a dark red linen fabric for the hardcover, which gives the notebook a warm and elegant look. It is secured with a 7mm elastic band closure.

 

Inside, I included a ribbon bookmark and a small pocket at the back, slightly adapted from the original course design to better fit my preferences. For the pages, I chose thicker 120gsm paper, which allows for a smooth writing experience without noticeable bleed-through on the reverse side.

 

While there are details I would refine in future versions, I see this as part of the learning process. Creating this journal helped me understand the craftsmanship behind bookbinding, and I’m proud of completing my first edition.
