My First Ever Watercolour Painting

This is my very first attempt at a complete watercolour painting.

I've only been doing this for maybe two weeks, in which majority of the time has been sourcing and waiting for supplies to arrive in the mail.

I've never painted, or used a paintbrush. Except for painting the fences on the farm. These last few days have been a very first for all that.

My grandfather was a watercolourist, and I can see why he loved it so much. I'm already hooked!

I know the piece is far from "perfect". I definitely made "mistakes" and overworked a few too many bits and pieces. And I had to mix up a couple of the colours for the class. But I learnt so much from finishing it, and I'm pleased with the result.

Thank you very much, Louise. A fantastic class. I look forward to the next!
