I made several beautiful journals many years ago with Coptic binding. I just finished my first one watching your incredible beginner’s class. I ended up using two different watercolor papers that were medium weight since I don’t intend this for using a lot of water. One is hot press and the other cold press - both Arches. I used some watercolor clover blossoms that I painted yesterday to decorate the front cover. Love it!

Two things I need to change: It would be so much easier to sew with a curved needle. I also want to get heavier colored thread. This was pretty lightweight unbleached linen thread that I ordered before I knew what the possibilities are.
