Hi, everyone!

This is actually the second sketching class I took today, and I'm really excited about it! But since I can't really go outside to sketch in peace due to my having 3 very energetic kids with me, I searched online for a picture of an interesting building in my hometown of São Paulo (Brazil) and came up with this one, from the Municipal Theater:

So, I began with a pencil sketch on watercolor paper:

Then I traced it with a fineliner and added some details with a brush pen:

and then I colored it in with watercolor. I tried to be as loose as Cheryl and to add layers of colors, but I think I'm still too attached to 'realistic painting'...:

anyway, I think I kind of liked the result. :)

I'll try to practice more my 'virtual urban sketching' and see where it leads me.
