I started out using Affinity and created the repeat pattern using this tutorial but I felt like it became difficult and honestly, I gave up. In order for me to make the process move faster I opened the file in Illustrator which I'm more comfortable with. I hope to keep trying Affinity and maybe with the newer updates coming...they will offer more fluidity that I'm looking for.
