I so enjoyed painting this donkey and since I had a few issues with the first one and didn’t get the fade out of the back like I wanted, I decided to paint a 2nd one, this time without the background and with the fade out.  Had just as much fun as the first one.  I think I must love donkeys! :)

 

Great two days with a fun teacher!  Thanks Jane for another wonderful animal tutorial.  I was a little heavy handed with the paints, but your unique style of painting from the tubes is so fun. I believe it’s your classes that have helped me improve my wet on wet technique, I’m slowing getting better.  As usual I had some hiccups along the way, but the hiccups also help me improve.  I decided to paint the colorful background as it looks to me as if the donkey is spending time in a flower field instead of the wheat fields.  Thanks again Jane, it was fun :) :)
