Moulin Rouge, Paris Café and Red Panda
I'm sure you've recognized the famous Moulin Rouge. Ahh, this place is both charming and mysterious.
I used several tints of red to depict the deep structure of the building.
I've made a color study first and then made a detailed sketch in the A4 sketchbook at home paying special attention to the lettering sign. We have the ultimate power over our art so it's great that you can move and combine the elements as you wish:D
This fluffy guy was a tough one! The most challenging thing was to draw his eyes with both sketchy feel and emotional impact.
Sketching whiskers with white acrylic was lots of fun though:)
And of course, I couldn't resist sketching vintage-inspired fashion illustrations. These styles were popular in magazines and I really love the fashionable look and style of straight lines.
Speaking of stylish looks. Have you seen the Amelie movie?
I was charmed by the Parisian spirit of it and made a quick study of the character:
Hope you'll enjoy sketching with me and I can't wait to see your artworks!
Schöne Grüße aus Berlin,
Anna
