For my project, I want to design a poster that somehow ties together British and American culture. To do this, I plan to create a poster that uses iconography from New York and London (two cities that I’ve been lucky enough to live in) to represent the subtle similarities and differences between the two places.

 

Specifically, my poster will highlight the yellow cab from New York and the black cab or hackney carriage from London. Both of these entities are symbols of the cities they hail from and both have rich and significant cultural histories. I plan to use my poster to explore that further.
