Another FUN class with Ewa.  First you'll see my inspirational pictures that I gathered from various electron microscope image sites.  

Then I made 5 simplified sketches form these, numbered 1-5.  You can also see the combination pictures I made from these 5 as well as the final, refined images.  I outlined those boxes in blue pencil. 

I started to make my final art piece but felt that all of these were too circular in shape and I went back and used the pink image to create a 6th sketch that I then combined with picture 5 to make an original pattern. 

 

I think this helped the final art but I'm still not in love with it.  Adding the 3 lines at the top at the end made an improvement and now it feels more like a beach scene.  I had a lot of fun with this and learned a lot.  I especially am excited to continue to look for "hidden" shapes in microscope images.
