I used items around my home and tried some plant materials gathered outside.  Best find was using the biodegradable packing peanuts. They made great circle marks, very consistent and left a texture pattern.  The plant materials did not do well.  The marks were very broad and did not provide definition. Now everywhere I look I am asking myself - is that a mark making tool? could I use that? great explorations.
