How to Create an Engaging Food Blog Post

This makes me hungry! I love the way these colors go together. I'd suggest playing around with a dark piece of poster board or foam board to bounce light off of. There is a food photography course on skill share that demonstrates how you can get more contrast and less of the glare that takes away some of the eggplant color. I hope you ended up posting and providing the recipe!

Hi Nivedita! First off, the composition of the main photo is great. With where you chose to put the bowls and items, the balance in the photo is perfect. I like how you added some green to that sweet potato mash (is it?), and I like that the green pepper is showing through in that other bowl. A couple things to consider for next time is slicing open one of the eggplants to offer just a bit more, visually. And I think these colors would likely pop a bit more on a darker background. (Though, I know supplies can be limited! I go to salvage stores to look for cheap, different colored pieces of wood.)The second photo is great too. I like them all pushed together like that, and like the look of the slices. Same as above, I might shown at least one sliced open, just for visual variety. Overall, really nice! Keep it up!
