Character Concept Art: From Initial Sketch to Final Design

These are so awesome! I am struggling on getting beautiful shapes like that out of my head. What size paintbrush did you use? How did you envision the gestures before putting them on the paper?

True beauty.  Only question is 'what is the right foot doing?'  Chest profile is a little off.Nice work!

Fantastic job with the posing. The anatomy looks correct, its moody, has some movement and the costume doesn't need to be filled with a ton of flair to be successful.

You had very good silhouettes since the beginning, they all felt feminin and sexy at first sight. I really like what you got in the last step but I'd really love to see a bit more detail - like some signs on her cape or her suit :)

Such beautiful feminine shapes. I love them all, but 1st, 3rd, 4th, 7th, and 9th are the most eye catching for me.I'm really excited to see where you go form here :)

This is a great set of characters; I love the fluidity and the poses are wonderful. The hooded characters have a really great sense of mystery and I love the draping of the clothing and robes. #1, 4, 8 and 9 are really standing out to me. Excited to see where this goes!

This is such a nice set of thumbs, awesome work. They've all got a really lovely sense of flow to them and there's some interesting shapes going on. I love 1 (such an awesome shape going on there), 6 &amp; 7 the most but any of these would be great refined. Looking forward to seeing the end result!

I like the first 3 on the bottom row, as well as the last figures in both rows. I find the first figure on the bottom to be sufficiently arrogant, I like the power in the 2nd figure, and those thigh high boots on the 3rd. That top corner figure has great movement for being in motion, and the belly on the bottom corner pose is funny. Not sure of the fabric draped on the legs, it kind of hides the musculature altogether.

Yeah, that last one was giving me trouble. I like the silhouette though, so I'm thinking I'll mess with it later on and try to make it work. Thanks!

Wow, these are all really well done! I'm not even sure I have any specific favorites...they're just all that good! There's a lot of energy and character in all of them. I know that's probably not very helpful, but you just did such a good job with these that it's hard to pick favorites haha. Can't wait to see what's next!
