Elegant Monogram Lettering: From Hand-Drawn Sketch to Digital Styling

Hi, Emily! This monogram is headed in a great direction. The curled crossbar on the A really works, adding character to your super symmetrical design. If you happen to revisit this project, consider tweaking the letter weights for overall consistency. For example, the stems of the large A are really bulky, and the thins of the small M almost disappear. Your lockup is strong as is, so those small refinements could really push this piece to the next level!

Go for it! Adding textures could be a great way to add some depth. Some sort of hand-drawn element would be cool too, since the class revolves around combining digital with analog.

i started an sketch using some layers of tracing paper.
