Creative watercolors: how to paint vibrant flowers

I completely believe it! I'm a self-taught artist and so I can understand. They are really beautiful.

Hi Ariel, Your painting is gorgeous, really bursting with life and colours!   Very pretty pansies, I like that you varied the size of them as well as their shape, it adds to this lively feeling. Your background is pretty amazin too, I would love to know what paper you have used to get such great effects :) In fact it almost seems as if the pansies were opening their petals in front of us, such is the great harmony between the background patterns and the flowers shapes. Thank you so much for your enthusiastic and kind words! You clearly observed my work with great care and insight.
I only started watercolours and painting less than a month ago but I discovered I enjoy it so much I have since been painting several hours everyday. Skillshare is a fabulous help. Yours is the first class project I chose to try. Personally, I think the pansies should either all be bigger (keeping the size differences) or more numerous. Some are also painted more thickly than I would like and so less luminous. Anyway, the paper I used was A4 Cannon Aquarelle 300g/m2 and the paints La Petite Aquarelle 10 ml tubes from Sennelier. The latter are wonderfully luminous in themselves so a dream tool for this and flowers in general. 
I find your semi-abstract flower painting style, incorporating the background, very unusual and beautiful. I would love to paint other flowers with you in this fashion.
