From Light To Dark | High-Key and Low-Key Studio Portraits

Hey Amber, love the shot! You'll always do fine with a 50mm lens - you tend to get great quality with limited cost (I always like the slight sense of the 1970's you get with a 50mm too!). The toned BnW adds to that sense.The light placement is pretty much spot on too - those catchlights look perfect. If I could adjust anything at all, it would be to drop your subjects chin a little - I feel this might suit the expression. Also, I would love to see just a fraction more light on the background camera-left to separate the subject just a fraction.Oh and I love the crop too - love the tight crop into the head (be aware not everyone will like this!) and the arms acting as a frame along the bottom.All in all it made me smile!

Used constant Lighting &nbsp;( all I have right now) 85W fluorescent light from a soft box. &nbsp;Sonya7III camera 50mm lens. I only have a prime 50MM right now.&nbsp;
