I really love loose patterns and I’m particularly drawn to this kind of floral tumble that you can use for a repeat pattern later.
There are a lot of floral and leaf shapes that you can choose for this kind of exercise, I decided to use fairly simply shapes and a limited palette, and decorated the florals with dots and lines to achieve a folk art vibe.

 

I also love floral arrangements in vases, you can be very creative with geometrical shapes and decorations for the vase body, and having different kinds of flowers arranged together as you would for a bouquet makes a simple but very powerful motif.
