Thank you for all the explanations and guidance throughout the process.

I have chosen a different bird but tried to follow the same process. 
This is my second time painting a bird and even though it is not very representative and realistic (body proportions are not good), I believe that practice will help out here, especially in creating more confident brush strokes.
