So, here's one of my experiments with the master studies (more coming up soon enough) - on the left side it's Irene Menicone's 'Lioness' and on the other it's  a part of Matt Miller's illustration for Lionface's album 'Battle'. I'm trying to expand on my inking styles on the one hand and looking out for the appropriate visual language on the other that fits a project for a friend in need ( 'leo' in the zodiac, fithing against cancer).

In both cases I'm fascinated by the alchemy between the more realstic and the rather ornamental, the fusions of styles and the story-telling involved.

And here's  -following Menicone's original- some warm-ups for the fusion of styles. I's a quest, right?
