Limited Color Palette
This exercise was inspired by Denise's class. I took it in a slightly different direction because I used watercolor paint for the base instead of the acrylic like she did. I really love these colors together. It's the first time for me to use these shades from the Kuretake Watercolor set. I scratched the wet watercolor with my palette knife. It did leave marks with the wet watercolor and also in the paper. I applied the Titanium White Acrylic paint with a palette knife after all the watercolor and other mark-making was done. I really like how the acrylic paint added another layer of texture, kind of three-dimensionalish. I then added the Kuretake Gold Mica to cover up some of the graphite lines that were too dark.

I did these in a Moleskine Watercolor Album (3.5 x 5.5)
