Level Up Your Drawing Step by Step

Hello Vanessa, Thanks for sending another project. Challenges are good as they push us forward, as long as we do it step by step.  I recommend tackling these challenges separately. If you're trying to work on proportions, do just that. The same goes for shadows or perspective. Maybe that would help. Good things take time and patience. I've been doing this for over twenty years and still love it. It might be that it looks easier because of that. Still, it's not. I have to concentrate each time, and often, I'm not satisfied with the result. We should be each other's most prominent critic.  When it comes to painting, I understand your perspective. Sometimes, I, too, want to skip a few steps and get straight to painting. Still, I think a good drawing is the strongest foundation for a painting. Also, a good study drawing can teach you to lay down your strokes, like on your left skull. That is an excellent drawing and can help you with painting. Not every drawing is just for exercising drawing. It might also inform you how to approach painting.  I hope this helps. Have a great day, and keep on drawing and painting.

I have to learn a lot.
Proportionens, shadows perspective. 
When you are doing this exercises it looks so easy.
My goal actually is to paint. Not to draw. Is it usefull to concentrate on drawing much in that case?
