Lesson plan

Lesson plan - student project

1. Greeting & Introduction (5 minutes)

I will start the class by warmly greeting my students:

"Good [morning/afternoon], everyone! How are you today?" I will take a moment to chat and make them feel comfortable.

Then, I will introduce the lesson:

"Today, we are going to learn about adjectives—words that describe things! But instead of just listening and writing, we will move, play, and have fun while learning."

2. Warm-Up Activity: Adjective Charades (10 minutes)

I will prepare small slips of paper with different adjectives (e.g., happy, slow, strong, tall, excited).

Each student will take turns picking a word and acting it out without speaking.

The rest of the class will try to guess the adjective.

After each round, I will briefly discuss the meaning of the word and how we use it in sentences.

3. Gross-Motor Game: Adjective Action Race (15 minutes)

For this fun movement game, I will prepare a set of adjective cards (e.g., fast, slow, bouncy, heavy, light, wobbly).

I will divide the class into small teams.

When I call out an adjective, one student from each team will race across the room while moving in a way that matches the word. For example, if the word is bouncy, they must hop like a bunny.

The first team to finish correctly earns a point.

After each round, I will ask the students to describe how the movement felt using more adjectives.

4. Writing & Drawing Activity: My Adjective Monster (10 minutes)

To reinforce learning, I will give each student a blank sheet of paper.

I will instruct them to draw their own unique monster.

Then, they will write at least three adjectives to describe their monster.

Each student will share their monster with the class, using full sentences, such as “My monster is big, fluffy, and scary.”

5. Closing & Reflection (5 minutes)

To wrap up the lesson, I will ask a few reflective questions:

“What new adjectives did you learn today?”

“Which activity was your favorite?”

“How can we use adjectives in everyday conversations?”

Finally, I will summarize the key points of the lesson and encourage them to keep using adjectives in their speech and writing. I will end with a positive note:

"Great job, everyone! Keep de

scribing the world around you with amazing adjectives!"
