Lesson 2 Project: Describe Your Target Audience

  1. What is your ideal client’s gender?  A: Women
  2. What is their age?  A: 30-50
  3. What is their marital status?  A: Single
  4. Do they have children?  A: Yes
  5. What culture do they come from, and how does it affect the way they perceive or interact with your offer?  A: African American culture.  It affects the way that they perceive or interact with my offer because it gives them a sense of familiarity.
  6. What online or offline spaces do they usually spend time in?  A: Online: Facebook; Offline: Wal-Mart, Publix, Dollar Tree, Family Dollar and General Dollar 
  7. What are their top priorities in life? What goals do they most want to achieve, what duties do they consider the most important, and what problems do they most want to get rid of? (Phrase this in terms of the symptoms they know they have, not the root causes they might not know about.)  A: Take care of their families to the best of their ability; can’t provide for themselves or their children all that they may need and or desire and can’t afford extracurricular activities or repairs within their homes or vehicles
  8. How much monthly income do they have? (This number should be high enough that they can easily afford you.)  A: $3000-$5000
  9. How much time do they have to devote to evaluating and using your offer? Does time feel like a scarce commodity to them?  A: Evaluating: 45 minutes or less; Using: 2-5 hours a week
  10. What obstacles are stopping them from solving this problem on their own?  A: They don’t know and haven’t been exposed to the opportunity
  11. How much do they know about your field, and how do they feel about it? (This determines how much you need to educate them before discussing your offer.)  A: Most people know very little about financial education and wellness, so they would need to be educated about finances before being presented with an offer to come aboard
