Shannon, if you keep painting and trying new things, your skill and boldness will offer you many compliments. I got a comment or two and then started following a person here and there. Now I get a stream of brief comments/art conversation daily. It boosts one’s spirit! Best to you!

That's interesting, and thanks for sharing that, Judy. It's helpful to hear how it works for others, to get continued encouragement, and to hear that it really does get results, to keep on going with this.  What a wonderful way to spend our days and feel like they were meaningful, mindful, and productive.

Mostly stuff from other students but a few teachers. Comments are usually brief and show up under that bell to the right of “My Classes” and the photo image. Sometime the convo expands a bit, but one gets the sense when all’s been said. As you did, I generally reply to specific-type comments and often ask questions about the person’s work. Once you click on a name and follow them, sometimes you get followed back, but you do get notices about when they do a project. Some ask for “feedback,” and when a teacher announces a new class, you get that too if you follow them. Yes, it is a very way to stay present in the moment and to de-stress while building skills. Took me a while to catch on to how the commenting stuff worked, but it wasn’t a huge brain-drain! LOL!!! Take care, you!

Mohini, thanks for recommending this class. I am early in my acrylic journey and this was very helpful for practice. I am tempted to go back and "fix" some things, but I am also learning to just let it be imperfect and enjoyable. :-)
