I couldn't really do many experiments as no garden. I did steal a leaf from my Peace Lily just for quick try. I will try more experiments when away in June and access to some wild ferns. I have taken a similar class that used gouache on black paper which is also unique (Holly Tomas ). 

Before the acrylic marker Probably needed more variety of color to capture the leaf veins.
