After watching Denise create her collage pieces, I decided to try the larger size projects. Definitely a challenge as I usually work pretty small. Great idea to put different composition sketches down on paper to have as a reference.
I used two papers I had previously painted using techniques from Elisabeth Wellfare’s class “Collage: Techniques to Create Decorative Papers”. I also used a practice page of brush strokes because I liked the colors. To add texture, I used some corrugated cardboard and twine. I then added a dried leaf I had been saving for “something”. Why not now? I’ve yet to go much bigger, but would like to give it a try.
