This was my first time applying paint to a surface for strictly artistic purposes in many, many decades. And this was a GREAT project to conquer fear of those intimidating first marks.

Here are two of the four pieces I made (another one is hanging in my youngest son’s apartment).

I put these two in my closet to remind me every day of that important first step I took to return to art.
