Here's the my process for the favourites illustration from July. After I brainstormed a list of 10 ideas/themes I doodled them out as objects on this practice page.

I then played around with thumbnails, layout and some text options.

I worked on the sketches and then inking. 

And finally I added a wash of color to complete the illustration. I'm very glad I went with the combo of yellow, blue and green. It has a lovely summery feel:)
