Jena's Kickass Plan
Project Description
Establish your voice, and create a content game plan.
Step 1: Establish Your Voice. Complete the following actions in order to determine how you're going to present yourself to your audience:
- Who am I?
- Honest, Passionate, Determined, Organized, and Helpful
- What do I have to offer?
- My soul. J/K I sold that a long time ago...
- I want to offer book reviews but also incorporate craft books that can help writers on their journey.
- Also, help them find the proper blogs and websites so they don't wander around the interwebs like lost sheep.
- I have friends who call me the Queen of Google because I am always willing and ready to research and find what they need help with. I'm not sure if that's good or bad but that's my passion.
- In a nutshell, I want to be like a library card catalog. I want to be able to direct future writers on the easiest road possible with my own personal Dewey decimal system.
- Merge 'em!
- I want to eventually step out of my comfort zone and create vlogs but for now, I will blog on Tumblr and incorporate my sass, care-free voice and plenty of gifs (pretend there is a sassy gif here). There are a ton of helpful articles and reviews for writer's out there but many of them are monotone and drab. I want to be able to be upbeat, approachable and be that slap in the face or first sip of coffee in the morning to kick you in the pantaloons!
Step 2: Create a content game plan. Narrow down the Who, What, Where, When, and How for your platform:
- Who is your target audience?
- Any writer's out there. Mostly YA but I'm hoping to branch out from there.
- What service are you offering?
- A one-stop shop for your basic writing needs to get you on the right path.
- Where are you going to post your content?
- Tumblr
- When are you going to post your content?
- Wednesdays
- How are you going to spread the word?
- Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
Be sure to share your final project with your classmates, that way we can all help each other fine-tune our author platforms.
