My very first portrait . This one was inspired by a magazine advertisement for lipstick. I have been so afraid to try this exercise as drawing faces is way outside my comfort zone but I actually enjoyed this and am looking to the next project with gold leaf.

 

I was interesting look at all the pinterest photos for the gold leaf project.  I ended up making up a kind of nautical portrait.  One I did in a sketchbook and the 2nd as a larger one on  a pad of better mixed paper.  I had a hard time photographing them without loosing the gold leaf shine.
