Anica, you give a mere, single word full of freaking life, it's amazing. I especially love your lettering and your instructions for each word so far--I would buy a million potential seed packets from you any day and then chug endless amounts of O.F. Hope. I'm so excited to see what you come up with next!

You are so sweet, Abby. I am very pleased that you like my work so far. I'm kind of excited myself to see what comes through my mind next. I really look forward to this particular challenge. Writing about your feelings is great, but illustrating it (to me) is a whole other level of reflection. I really have to think of how I want to get my message across without having to draw/say too much.

When I saw Day 2's prompt I thought of your Day 1 immediately so I came back here to check out Day 2 and you did it again! You could create a whole inspirational line of this kind of art. It would keep everyone going through crazy tough times. :)

For this project I'm so torn between focusing on the art and skill versus just cheering each person on during this emotional journey. You already know I love your art (haha) but I also like the message. I "hope" these messages will be a light anytime you need it. &lt;3

I know exactly what you mean. I too was torn between the art/skill versus the human connection and articulating that somehow in my work. I figured I will just find a place in the middle. It is very hard for me to NOT add a little flair.  I love your first prompt...the background-turned-lemon.  For me, this immediately conjured up the idea of making the best of what you have ("...when life hands you lemons..") and being are grateful with all that life has given you, even if a bit sour from time to time.

HA! I love the flair. Sidenote, I don't know if you've heard of Lilla Rogers but when I saw your work, I thought it'll be something she'll like. She represents different awesome (like yourself) artists. Just a floating thought lol.

Yes, I have heard of Lilla Rogers! You really flatter me. The very IDEA of ever being good enough or in demand enough to warrant a rep is beyond my imagination, but it is a really nice thought to have. Thank you for the compliment, you have totally made my day! I do plan to focus and devote time to my original love (art) as I really feel I have lost my way for no real good reason other than getting caught up in life. I know I am meant to do more...so maybe...

Thank you, Lauren! I am so glad I can inspire people (especially now). This challenge is really going to be a good one for many of us. So far, I do put a lot of thought into the choice of words or single word. Though I am not physically journalling my feelings, I am definitely doing some mental exercises to allow my mind to really settle and think.

That is AWESOME. I want me a can of that! Trying desperately to hold onto hope - and so grateful for these guided art projects to help calm me down. Your work is always an inspiration. And we're off on this next little adventure...
