I'm pretty sure EVERYONE is familiar with this, as I am, and was forced to dig them up from the lawn as a kid. The root was SO long, and if you didn't get it all, they'd just come back. That was in OH, I'm in FL now and they don't seem to have them here(?) I'll continue searching though.
