Thanks Debbi, it's a process that I repeat for everything I paint, and also I don't aim for 100% accuracy, just an impression. Helps to simply things down into basic shapes.

Really beautiful, I'm definitely going to get back into watercolors. But I'm a beginner and you have so many classes to offer. Which one would you recommend for me to start with?

Thanks Isilis, they're all for beginners, but references are more complex than others. I'd suggest one of my landscape classes - they have more abstract shapes, less need to draw.

The first one in the big photos section reminds me of the Aurora

The second one reminds me of Alaska! Beautiful!

These are so pretty. A little less daunting than the longer class, if these are a smaller project I appreciate the option for when I don't have large amounts of time but still want to practice skills.
