Hummingbird - My 100th Class!

So umm, it just so happens that this class was the 100th SkillShare class I've completed since going watercolor crazy in early January 2024! It's hard to believe that I've watched A HUNDRED classes from start to finish, for a total of 6820 minutes, in just a little over three months!

I'm not sure if I should be proud and excited, or very worried for my well-being, lol.
But in all honesty, I've loved every second of it, even the frustrating ones. In the 37 years that I've been alive, I've always loved crafting and working with my hands, but this is my first "actual art" hobby. I've never really done any drawing or painting of any kind (except some digitally, and the construction kind for years), so I've definitely surprised myself. When I signed up on SkillShare, I was looking for calligraphy lessons, I didn't even own any watercolors! And now, I can't stop... There are so many awesome teachers in here that I look up to, and there's still so many different ways and styles to learn! I'm just excited for the next hundred projects!
Since noticing yesterday that the 100th class achievement was coming up, I wanted that class to be a special one, and this hummingbird Will had just published was perfect! I feel a humminbird describes my watercolor journey well: small but fast, kinda hectic, all over the place, but colorful and brings joy. :)) Not to mention, Will was the first teacher in here that I wanted to complete every class from (haven't done it yet!), I've adored his art style ever since laying my eyes on it for the first time! And he's taken the time to comment on every project that I've completed from him, with more than just a couple of words, he's always been so uplifting and encouraging, and genuinely just an awesome person. At times I've been so negative and insecure of my work, which I know can be highly annoying, yet he's remained patient. It has meant a lot to me.
This place is full of so many teachers like him, and I appreciate each and every one of you! The time it takes to create these classes, and for total strangers... You guys really deserve to earn so much more for it! Plus the other students have been so supportive as well, I've received so many kind comments as well! I really appreciate the whole community. <3
Anyway, this class was just pure high quality joy, as always from Will, and I actually really like my results this time! :)
I used Baohong Masters' Choice 300gsm 100% cotton cold-pressed paper and Daniel Smith's tube watercolors. I skipped using the salt, it's one of those things that I keep struggling with, it's always getting stuck on the paper and not creating the effects I want, so I didn't want to risk it.
Thank you Will once again for another awesome class!
Here's to a 100 more, cheers! ^^
