Having fun with colours

I started with some colour-wheels, which contained an unexpected challenge: Placing the colours in the correct compartment. The result is very helpful - I have a look at them all the time to find a good colour.
To practice value washes I chose a cup and saucer, where the flower was painted just this way:
I think I made the colour to intense and I could not decide between getting an suggestion of a rose and getting all the details…

And finally another Japanese Teecup with a leaf of ivy (a bit loopsided… and I got the shadows wrong… well, I need to concentrate more… but I like the colours):
This was a very helpful class. I will go on painting with watercolours!
