I started with making expression sketches of Hannibal.  I made six of them but quickly settled on the happy version to work on.  I sketched it into a full scene of him in the bathtub.

 

 

I usually draw my scenes in blue or red, correct all that I can in this stage, then do the drawing with either brown or black.  I use Sketchook Pro on my Android tablet to draw most of the time.  I do have Photoshop and a Wacom tablet which I have used for years but I find it much easier to use the tablet.

 

 This is my final illustration.  I kept it simple, although initially I thought there would be many more things in the bathtub, like rubber duckies and toy boats and maybe even his dog, but I decided to go simple here.
