The class provided a lot of useful information and demonstrations to get started with gouache. I usually paint with watercolors so this was very different. I tried painting a landscape. I love how easy it is to layer colors. Especially like being able to layer light over dark. But I seemed to spend sooo much time rinsing out brushes between colors. And had to frequently change water. I find that with watercolors, I can mix 2 watercolor paints very quickly to try for a new shade. With the gouache it took longer and I felt like I was using so much more paint.
