Colouring With Markers: Create Contrast & Shade

What is the recommended paper to print the designs for the  marker pens? Any lists you suggest and brand? Thank you.

Asha, I use marker paper from Canson or Montana because it's available in stores in my city. As long as it says "marker paper" I trust it will work :)

Thank you. I have a Canson mix media paper 160 g for acrylic/watercolor/pen and pencil as it shows on the cover. It think that should work!

I think it is not the best paper for markers, but good for warming up because it's cheaper paper. I use Spectrum Noir markers and they are very rich in pigment, they bleed on any paper that is not specific for markers.

And I don't know how you do it, Mira! You amaze me every time with your projects and reviews. (and I'm making a little dance over here that I get to inspire you to draw) These illustrations are so inspiring to me and makes me want to make more shoes. Isn't it just a great motif?! You are getting so good with markers, the layering, blending and shading is excellent and I like that you took on a complex design, it turned out really good. One thing that I notice in your illustrations is that you have such confident lines and perspectives. So obvious you're a skilled artist. *two hands raised* Hugs / Bärbel

Yep, I've thought about that, and perfume bottles :-). First another Classic Pattern Design course though...

I'm using Sprectrum Noir markers and they behave a little different than Copics so I used 3-4 shades of blue and 2 beige-brown.

I don't know how she does it but Barbel always gets me to draw! I enjoy this project a lot and plan I to draw some more shoes in the future.
